Vadodara: Account department clerk of city based Parul University Harish Rana was found dead in car in suspicious condition. Rana’s letter has revealed several wrongdoings he claimed to have witnessed in Parul University’s management.

Rana’s dead body was found on driving seat of Maruti Zen car on Kamatibaug main road in Vadodara. As 44-year old Rana didn’t return from job, his son Rushi had started search with his friends, during which Rana’s car was spotted. Rushi and his friends with the help of others took Rana to Narhari hospital where he was declared dead. Panel postmortem has concluded that Rana died due to heart attack. However Rana’s family is not ready to believe this. The family alleges that Rana’s body had injury marks. Harish Rana’s brother Shailesh Rana says Harishbhai was in depression for last tome time. Last Sunday only he told that he was tortured and pressurized by University management to do unethical works.

Rana was facing allegation of taking Rs 1.20 lakh commission from Sai Traders for approval to bill payment. Rana had to deposit Rs 1.20 lakh to University following this allegation. Rana in his letter said the allegation against him was wrong.

Rana in his letter mentioned number of wrongdoings he witnessed in the university.

– Examination forms of students are suspended citing lack of enough attendance in classes. This is done to collect more money from the students(Rinal, Bhavini, Unnati, Jemish etc).

– More than permitted number of students are admitted to colleges against the rule.

– Irregularities in salary through forgery in relation to teaching staff.

– Staff is produced during the council inspection every year, as the date of inspection is informed in advance.

– Additional fees are levied from students by suspending their examination forms.

– Fake scholarship expenses are produced to collect more fees from fee committee.

– Bank accounts in name of students are opened and money is deposited, only to get back through cheque in name of PASM Trust in order to show expenses.

– Same staff is produced during inspection of all hospitals. Patient’s relatives are also produced as patients through fake case papers.
