Surat BJP Councillor, husband suspended from party over bribe case

Surat: Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) Councillor Minaben Rathod’s husband Dinesh Rathod and his aide Harish were nabbed by Anti Corruption Bureau while receiving Rs 5 lakh bribe for granting clearance to construction. It is learnt that former BJP Councillor Agrawal had complained about malpractice of Rathods following which this trap was arranged. BJP has in quick action announced suspension of Rathods from the party.
