Driver of bank cash van flees with estimated Rs 98 lakh cash in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A driver of cash van namely Shailesh Vaghela alias Sudhir Kumar today fled with bank cash worth as high as estimated Rs 98 lakh on S.G. highway of city.
According to police sources, the incident took place post 7.00 pm today. A driver Sudhir Kumar, working in city based CMS Info Systems company escaped with HDFC bank cash which was meant for ATMs. The cash van was on ATM cash filling duty. Sudhir Kumar who is originally from Etawah in Uttar Pradesh gave spiked tea to three staff members in order to make them unconscious. Once the colleagues were neutralized, Sudhir Kumar left the cash van outside the Rajpath Club and left the place.
Vaghela lives in Chandkheda area of city. Police has received all details about him from CMS Info Systems, a private company which is into bank cash carrying business.
Police teams probing this crime through CCTV footage, call records, physical checking at strategic points, mobile phone tracking and more.
