Rahul Gandhi calls 7 Congress MLAs to Delhi

Gandhinagar: Congress president Rahul Gandhi called seven party MLAs from Gujarat to Delhi and discussed the political affairs of the State with them. The MLAs called to Delhi include Alpesh Thakor, Punjabhai Vansh, Himmatsinh Patel(Gurjar), Kunvarji Bavalia, Ashwin Kotwal, Amit Chavda and Soma Ganda Patel(Koli). The MLAs, Rahul called to Delhi were ambitious and aiming at the position of leader of opposition, deputy leader of opposition or chief whip. It is believed that on state party incharge Ashol Gehlot’s tip off, Rahul had called these MLAs to heartily accept Paresh Dhanani as leader of opposition and Shailesh Parmar as his deputy.

Congress has recently announced Assembly Congress Parliamentary Advisory Committee in which former leader of opposition and senior most MLA Mohansinh Rathwa has been appointed chairman followed by Kunvarji Bavalia as vice chairman, Rajendrasinh Parmar as convener, Anil Joshiyara and Punjabhai Vansh as representative and Niranjan Patel, Vikram Madam, Somabhai Patel, Virji Thumar, Sukhram Rathwa, Jitu Chaudhary, Baldev Thakor, Ashwin Kotwal, Jawahar Chavda and PD Vasava as members.

Congress president is believed to have conveyed aspired MLAs that unity in party is his topmost priority.
