Congress MLA from Patan Kirit Patel had raised this issue in the house and the deputy leader of Congress legislature party Shailesh Parmar had also attacked the government.

After that Congress MLAs stood up and started slogan shouting. The speaker adjourned the proceedings till recess.

Later talking to newsmen Mewani said that even after passage of almost 10 days since the death of Bhanu Vankar after his attempted self immolation, not even a single penny out of the compensation announced by the government has been paid. No action has also been taken against any of the culprits so far. He said that only announcing the constitution of SIT for probe was not enough as such announcements had not yielded any result in case of Una and Thangadh incidents.
