Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government gave employment to 12,869 persons in the government sector in last two years. More than seven lakh youths got employment, most of them in private sector. Narmada district stood at top in providing most government jobs which comes to 2,576. The total number of unemployed (educated and semi-educated) in the state stood at around 5,37,562. These details were shared by the government in reply to question during the ongoing assembly session.
