Bhuj:
The Border Security Force (BSF) today seized yet another Pakistani boat in Kothawari creek adjoining Kutch district of Gujarat.
A senior officer of BSF said that the patrol team of the 108 battalion of BSF saw the boat near a place between border pillar G 37 and 38 this afternoon. This boat like two others nabbed earlier last month on February 24 and 20 was somewhat bigger than those normally nabbed in this fish and sea food rich area. 3 to 4 persons on-board fled through the nearby land border.
‘Nothing suspicious has been found in the boat. Some fishing equipment and fish were recovered from it. The boat has been seized,’ he said.
Notably, after the DG level border meeting last month in Pakistan, BSF has intensified patrolling in Creek area.
The coast guard had nabbed 7 Pakistani fishermen with their boat near IMBL off Jakhau coast on February 13.
The BSF normally nabs the 25 ft X4 ft boat fitted with a Chinese fan made propelling motor in this area which was used for doing illegal fishing in the creek area. But the last 3 boats nabbed were of a much bigger size.
