Ahmedabad Crime Branch detects Ashram road Angadiya loot and murder case; accused nabbed from UP

Ahmedabad: City Crime Branch officer JK Bhatt today shared the details of detection of Angadiya loot with murder case in Ahmedabad. Following are the highlights of Crime Branch press briefing:

– The case is solved within 96 hours.

– The incident took place on 16th at around 7 am.

– Angadiy pedhi Ambalal Hargovandas’s employee Arvindbhai Vitthaldas was with two parcel on way to Unjha, Sidhpur. Others from three other Angadiya pedhis were also sitting with him.

– Two bikes arrived from Income Tax cross roads. Sharpshooters were sitting on the bikes.

– When they tried to snatch away the bags full of valuables, Arvindbhai bravely resisted, following which he was shot dead.

– In initial probe a bike was found in Chandkheda area in deserted condition.

– DCP Bhadran, Additional DCP Zala and others formed three-four teams for probe into this incident of crime.

– As accused had switched off their mobile phones, the police teams focused on bikes and CCTV footage.

– The bike was stolen from Meghaninagar area. Police focused in this area. Police received information through human intelligence that two notorious persons were not available in the area for last few hours.

– Police traced accused to Faizabad in Uttar Pradesh. Police teams from Crime Branch reached Uttar Pradesh.Sharpshooter Ashu Yadav, Kirit Chauhan (resident of Kalapinagar in Ahmedabad, originally from Tikar in Surendranagar), Rajnish Kanojia(resident of Ahmedabad but originally from Uttar Pradesh) were nabbed.

– Based on the details received during interrogation, one accused Raju Marwadi was held from Abu road. He has been accused in four-five offenses in the past too.

– Raju revealed that Prakash Marwadi had given him information about Angadiya pedhi. Prakash also has been arrested.

– Bikes used in crime are recovered.

– After the loot incident, the accused reached Usmanpura and took seat in Indica car which was arranged in advance for them. They went to Balaji flat near Agora mall at Marwadi’s resident. Soon they found there were GPS attached to looted bags. They crushed the GPS and left he place in hurry. Those UP origin, reached Surendranagar and later fled to UP. Some accused continued to stay in Gujarat only.

– Five are detained; Pradip Bhaiya, Muhammad Shakil and Maksood Rana who are from Khanderpur in Ambedkar nagar district are yet to be nabbed.

– Raju Marwadi who is among key conspirators is friend of rickshaw driver Prakash Marwadi. Prakash told Raju he had worked in Angadiya pedhi for 15 years and had knowledge of Angadiya pedhi dealings. It was Raju who supplied information about transfers of valuables by Angadiya pedhi staff to Prakash after doing recce.
