Gandhinagar: Taking an important decision, Chief Minister Mr. Vijaybhai Rupani today decided to increase the political pension (saliyana) by 33%, with effect from April 1st, 2017, for the former kings, nayaks and Bhaubandhs of Dang district.

The increased benefits will be availed to 5 kings, 9 nayaks and 668 bhaubandhs of Dang. So far, time to time the state government had increased the political pension.

It should be noted that the political pension is availed by these beneficiaries of Bahudha Vanvasi areas in Dang since 1954 on permanent, heritage and yearly basis in compensation of their lands rights in Dang areas.
