Chudasama hit out at ‘fake and artificial’ guardians for trying to create misunderstanding on school fees issue

Amid chaos over privates school fees, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama today hit out at the ‘fake’ guardians for trying to create misunderstanding on the issue.
Chudasama today said in the assembly that several fake and artificial guardians were trying to create misunderstanding on the issue.
He said that as the fee related matter under the Gujarat Self-Financed Schools (Regulation of Fees) Act, 2017 was being heard by the Supreme Court which would give its final verdict, the guardians should deposit the fee as being demanded by the schools and the amount would after the the SC decision would be compensated later.
Chudasama said that the government was concerned about the people and that was why it had passed the act.
He said that the schools would have to compensate the fees after the SC decision but several fake guardians were trying to create misunderstanding about it..
Notably the government had in February after the apex court instruction proposed the new maximum annual fees limit of Rs 15000 for pre-primary and Primary Rs 25000 for secondary and Rs 30000 for higher secondary level.
The Supreme Court was to hear the matter on April 4.
