A day after state run GCL, private player Adani Gas also hikes PNG, CNG prices

A day after the hike in price of CNG and PNG by government run Gujarat Gas Ltd, (GCL) private player Adani Gas has also raised the prices of the two natural gas fuels.

A statement by Adani gas today said, ” In view of the revision of price of Domestic Gas by Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOPNG), the price of CNG in Ahmedabad & Vadodara is revised to Rs. 49.70 / Kg from Rs. 47.80 /Kg and Price of PNG (Domestic) is revised to Rs. 606.72 /MMBtu excluding VAT from Rs. 560.65 / MMBtu excluding VAT with effect from April 19, 2018 (00:00 hrs ie midnight of April 18).
Adani Gas serves about 285,000 households and approximately 150,000 CNG users in the two cities.

The GCL has from today itself raised the retail price of domestic PNG by Rs 1.10 per standard cubic meter (SCM) to Rs 21.95 per SCM (excluding taxes) from Rs 20.85 per SCM. The retail price of CNG has been hiked by Rs 2.15 per kg to Rs 49.65 per kg (including taxes) from Rs 47.50 per kg.

The company supplies PNG to around 12 lakh households and more than 6 lakh CNG vehicles across Gujarat including Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Surendranagar, Morbi, Nadiad, Anand and areas from Bharuch to Vapi in south Gujarat. It has over 250 CNG stations in Gujarat.
