Ahmedabad:

The met department has issued heat wave warning for parts of Saurashtra- Kutch, South Gujarat Region and in adjoining union territory of Diu for tomorrow even as severe heat wave and heat wave conditions prevailed in parts of Saurashtra today as well.

Owing to dry Northwesterly to Northerly winds prevailing at lower levels the heat wave conditions have returned.

However, the met bulletin today also said that the maximum temperatures across the state would come down after tomorrow.

Today at least 15 places across the state recorded over 40 º C temperature, 13 at or above 41 º C and 4 at or above 42 º C with Kandla airport remaining hottest at 42.9 º C .

Maximum temperature in Ahmedabad was 41 º C which was 1.2 º C above normal.
