RTO issues notices to vehicle owners for non-payment of fine in response to 7 or more e-memos

Gandhinagar: RTO in Gandhinagar has issued notices to 30 vehicle owners who have failed to respond to at least 7 or more e-memos issued by the traffic police.
E-memos are issued by traffic police in the cases of traffic violation.
The city traffic police observed that many vehicle owners were not responding to e-memos and thereby not paying fine.
When checked who were the repeater offenders who didn’t pay fine in response to 7 or more e-memos, 30 names emerged. These names were forwarded to RTO department with recommendation of suspension of driving license for six-month period.
Accordingly RTO has issued notices to 30 vehicle owners on their registered addresses. If vehicle owners fail to pay the total amount of fine and penalty, they are likely to lose driving license.
