POCSO court in Gujarat pronounce death sentence for youth who sodomized and killed 4 year old boy

A local court here today awarded capital punishment to a 24 year old man who had sodomized and killed his 4 year old neighbour boy.
According to prosecution the incident had taken place in April 2016 in Piludara village under Vedach police station of Jambusar taluka of Bharuch district.
The mutilated body of the boy was recovered near a village pond. Postmortem report revealed that the boy was sexually assaulted several times and then brutally murdered.
The accused Shambhu Padhiyar, had allegedly lured the boy with an ice cream and took him near a village pond. When the child did not return home, his father and neighbours started searching for him and his body was found in the evening.
Judge of Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act (POCSO) matters here S Dave today pronounced death sentence to Padhiyar.
