Disrupted rail traffic in Rajkot division due to goods train derailment resumes

Rajkot:
Rail Traffic was disrupted for over 3 hours on the all important Hapa-Rajkot section of Rajkot division of Western Railways due to derailment of 4 wheels of a wagon of a goods train today.
The derailment took place between Paddhari and Chanol station in Rajkot division at around 1058 hrs today.
Spokesperson of Rajkot Division Vivek Tiwari said that the derailed wagon was re-railed at around 1400 hrs and the traffic on the route has been resumed from 1415 hrs.
Owing to the incident various trains including 22945 Saurashtra Mail, 22970 Varanasi-Okha Superfast, 19566 Dehradun Okha Uttranchal Express, 02833 Hapa-Santragachi and 22946 Saurashtra Mail, 19576 Nathdwara-Okha, 12906 Howrah-Porbandar and 19218 Jamnagar-Bandra Saurashtra Janta Express were halted at various stations and got delayed.
Apart from it 59212 Porbandar Rajkot passenger was short terminated at Hapa for reversal as 59211 as per its scheduled time ex Hapa.
The spokesperson also said that owing to the accident 19573 Okha-Jaipur weekly has been rescheduled and will now start from Okha at 0415 am tomorrow morning in stead of 0720 this evening.
He said that during the derailment no injury or any other untoward thing happened.
