Gujarati domicile students only eligible for MBBS admission on 10,000 seats in Gujarat: Govt

Gandhinagar: The Government of Gujarat today announced its decision that only Gujarati domicile students will be given admission on 10,000 MBBS seats from the academic year of 2018.
The state has more than 10,000 MBBS seats including the seats of dental, homeopathy, naturopathy and Ayurved. According to health minister Nitin Patel, Gujarati origin students who are holding Overseas Citizen of India card will be considered suitable to apply for NRI seats and government seats.
The students of Gujarat Board, Central Board, Council of Indian School Certificate, International School Board and National Institute of Open Schooling affiliated schools in Gujarat if pass standard 12th and NEET exam, will be suitable for admission. Gujarat origin security force personnel’s children will also be eligible for admission.
