Former Maharashtra ATS Chief Himanshu Roy shots self

Mumbai: Additional Director General(Establishment) of Maharashtra Police, Himanshu Roy shot self with his service revolved today afternoon at his residence in South Mumbai. 1998-batch IPS Roy was former Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad(ATS) chief. He was also joint commissioner of police (Crime) from 2012-2014. According to the police, Roy shot himself near his mouth with his service revolver at around 1.40 pm. On hearing the gunshot, his staff rushed to his room. Roy was battling cancer and had a relapse. He was on leave for over a year on health grounds.
