Fight over alleged fixing in Mrs Gujarat Beauty Queen pageant reaches police station

Ahmedabad: Fight over alleged fixing in ‘Mrs Gujarat Beauty Queen’ event has reached police station.
Rajkot based Nisha Chavda and her husband Vipul Chavda had launcehd ‘Mrs Gujarat Beauty Queen’ competition and started a Facebook page dedicated to this event. The event was organized at Narayani Hights hotel in Ahmedabad during 8-12 May. 32 women had participated in the event as contestants. Final contest was held on 13th of May.
Nisha has in her police complaint alleged that contestants namely Brinda Vaishnav, Sangita Patel, Nita Shah, Kajal Pandya, Bhagyashri Pawar who couldn’t win the title started indulging into verbal arguments outside the hotel venue soon after the event.
Nisha alleges that on Sunday afternoon, she was with her relatives at Arihant apartment in Jivraj Park area of Rajkot when Brinda, Sangita Patel, Nita Shah, Kajal Pandya and Bhagyashri Pawar barged into the flat. They asked their money they paid as participation fee must be returned, or they will start campaign on social media defaming her. Nisha in her complaint claimed she was beaten up, abused in objectionable language and her gold chain was broken.
Meanwhile, the women participants of pageant have in social media video alleged that Chavdas collected Rs 50,000 from each participant and the pageant was fixed.
On the final day of pageant event, the winners other than the main winner had thrown their crowns on the stage, alleging fixing.
