Heat-waves make comeback in parts of Gujarat, Maximum temperatures likely to remain in the range of 41-45°C in next 2 days

Ahmedabad:

Heat-waves today made a comeback in parts of Saurashtra-Kutch and Northern regions of Gujarat and are likely to continue tomorrow as well.

The met department has issued heat-wave warning and temperatures forecast saying-
‘ MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES VERY LIKELY TO BE IN THE RANGE OF 41-45°C IN PARTS OF SAURASHTRA-KUTCH AND 40-44°C OVER NORTH GUJARAT REGION AND IN PARTS OF SOUTH GUJARAT REGION DURING NEXT 2 DAYS.’

Meanwhile Surendranagar and Kandla Airport remained the hottest places today with a similar maximum temperature of 45 °C. Naliya with 44.3 °C was second and Deesa at 44.1 °C was at third place in this regard.

Amid dry westerly to north westerly winds prevailing at lower levels the maximum temperature in Ahmedabad today was 43.4°C which was 1.7° C above normal.
