Heat wave continued despite marginal drop in temperatures in Gujarat

Ahmedabad:

Heat wave conditions continued in parts of North Gujarat and Kutch region today despite marginal drop in temperatures across the state.

The met department bulletin has said that there was no likelihood of heat-wave anywhere in the state tomorrow and day after that but the spell of heat-wave in parts of North Gujarat and Kutch region was likely to resume from May 27 again.

The met forecast today has issued heat-wave warning in parts of North Gujarat and Kutch on May 27 and 28.

Meanwhile Kandla airport with 43.8 °C was the hottest place today.

Ahmedabad which saw a drop of around 2 °C in the maximum temperature in the last 24 hours was still 1.3 °C above normal at 42.5 °C.

The met bulletin today said, ‘MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE VERY LIKELY TO BE 40-44°C OVER NORTH GUJARAT REGION, KUTCH AND IN PARTS OF SAURASHTRA AND SOUTH GUJARAT REGION DURING NEXT TWO DAYS.’
