Moist air brings down temperatures marginally, Ahmedabad hottest at 44.1°C

Ahmedabad:

Ahmedabad today remained the hottest place across Gujarat with the maximum temperature of 44.1 °C even as mercury showed some downward trend and heat-wave vanished due to rising moisture in the air under the influence of westerly and north-westerly winds.

Ahmedabad where the temperature despite marginal drop in comparison to that of yesterday was 2.4 °C above normal felt humid hotness mostly indoors.
Gandhinagar and Amreli with similar maximum of 44 °C were second hottest today while Vadodara at 43.7 °C was at third place in this regard.

The temperatures are likely to marginally come down from tomorrow owing to increase of moisture in the air due to its westerly and north-westerly direction. As per the met bulletin the maximum temperatures would be in the range of 41 to 44 °C in the next 2 days.

Also there are chances of thundershowers in extreme southern region of Gujarat after 3 days owing to incursion of moisture.
