Bitcoin case: CID moves court seeking proclamation of Kotadiya as offender

The CID-crime investigating the sensational bitcoin case in Gujarat today moved a designated court here today requesting it to declare former MLA from Dhari Nalin Kotadiya as an absconder.
The court of special ACB judge P J Tamakhuwala is likely to give its verdict on the plea of the CID-crime tomorrow.
In the plea the probe agency has requested that as it has evidence against Kotadiya about his role in the bitcoin extortion case and he has gone underground. He should be proclaimed as absconder nder section 82 of the CRPC.
Notably, if the plea is allowed by the court and even after that Kotadiya remain underground, his property could also be attached.
CID-crime had issued several summons and warrant against Kotadiya for appearing before it. It had also conducted raid at various places across the country to nab him.
Interestingly, complainant in the case Surat based builder Shailesh Bhatt, who later turned out to be a culprit himself, is also at large in yet another case lodged in this connection.
