Ahmedabad to witness world’s biggest marathon against drug abuse on June 23

Ahmedabad:

The commercial capital and largest city of Gujarat and also the seventh most populated city in India, Ahmedabad is all set to witness World’s biggest marathon against Drug Abuse & Illicit Trafficking on June 23.

Narcotics Control Bureau is also actively supporting the event to be organized by an anti drug outfit High on Life Foundation and Rajpath Club.

It’s the first-of-it’s kind Marathon which is likely to witness more than 5000 participants who will run under the categories of 10 km, 5 km & Fun Run to promote & spread the message of ‘SAY NO TO DRUGS’.

The event will be Flagged Off by Dy. Chief Minister Nitin Patel in presence of Mayor Bijalben Patel, Additional Director General of Police (PR) V K Mall and Zonal Director, Narcotics Control Bureau (Gujarat, Daman & Diu) Hari Om Gandhi.

The event is supported by Narcotics Control Bureau, Suraksha Setu Society, Healthy Campus & World Peace & Diplomacy Organization. Many Corporate came forward to extend their valuable support for this cause including Reliance Industries Limited, GSC Bank, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Meghmani Organics, Bodal Chemicals, Savvy Group, AGL Tiles, Suryam Group, KD Hospital, Nimba Nature Cure and many more organizations.

In order to motivate the participants, High on Life Foundation has announced prizes of Rs. 50000/- each for Male & Female winners under the category of 10k & Prize of Rs. 25000/- each for Male & Female under the category of 5k. Over & above these, there will be a gift hamper and various other spot prizes for the participants.

It’s the first of its kind Marathon which will be converted to the live concert where the sizzling Bollywood singer Priyanka Negi will perform live with her inimitable & thrilling tracks. Everyone who runs for the cause will get Free Entry for the concert. Organizers have made an arrangement of free drinking water on route, sanitation facility, first aid, para medical team, physiotherapy & ambulance for all the participants.
