Gujarat govt – Adani Foundation sign pact for malnutrition-free Narmada district

Gandhinagar: Women and child welfare department of Gujarat government, ICDS and Adani Foundation have signed a five-year pact for making Narmada district free from malnutrition. According to ICDS director Manisha Chandra, the Prime Minister has given special attention to largely tribal populated Narmada district for ‘Poshan Abhiyan(nutrition campaign)’ following which this pact has been signed, under which Adani Foundation will spend Rs 6-8 crore and help to further strengthen the ICDS programmes in Narmada district. The project will witness use of non-invasive touchB machine and cloud based anthropometric measurement along with tablet based monitoring.
