12 dead, 35 injured in two road mishaps in Gujarat

Amreli/Bharuch:
At least 12 people died and 35 injured in two sepearate road mishaps in Amreli and Bharuch districts of Gujarat late last night, police said today.
7 people died and 20 others injured when a speeding truck skidded off a bridge on Rajula Mahuva highway near Nigada village in Pipavav Marine police station area of Amreli district, PSI V L Parmar said. Those dead and injured were returning after participating in a marriage related ceremony (engagement).
In another mishap on national highway 48 near Mandva crossing close to Ankaleshwar in Bharuch district five people including a mother-daughter died and 15 others injued when a luxury bus they were traveling-in rammed in to a static truck from behind.
