The class 10 student who killed another boy of class 9 in a school here has been nabbed.

Commissioner of Police Vadodara Manoj Sashidhar today said that 15 year old Mihir Chunara, a student of Bharti School in Baranpur area under Vadi police station who had stabbed to death 14 year old class 9 student of the same school, Dev Tadvi yesterday was nabbed last night from his aunt’s (Father’s Sister) place in Valsad.

‘He has a behavioral issue and is very short tempered. As per his statement during interrogation he had not completed his home-work and was scolded by his teacher. He was very angry at it and in a feat of anger thought of doing something nasty so that the school was defamed. He brought a dagger from his house to kill a student and Dev become his victim accidentally,’ Sashidhar said.

Dev, a native of Bakrol area in Anand district had joined the school just a few days ago and was living at a relative’s place.

He was found dead in the school toilet with multiple injury marks of dagger. There were at least 30 such marks over his body.

The culprit after committing the crime left his school bag which also contained the dagger used for the murder at a nearby place and fled.

Police however was investigating the matter in detail.
