Ahmedabad: The Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad city Shri A.K.Singh (IPS) after peaceful and successful completion of 141st Rathyatra in city, sent a message to cops which touched their hearts.

The Commissioner said : “Don’t know how to thank all of you. You all must be too tired to read a long congratulating message. Very, very briefly… If this team had participated in FIFA, we might have brought the World Cup home.”

More than 25,000 cops were involved in Rath Yatra bandobast duty. Annual Rath Yatra procession in Ahmedabad passes through communally sensitive areas. There has been history of riots during Rath Yatra in the past.
