Ahmedabad:

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation has sealed Rajpath Club, one of the most prestigious clubs in the city.

The estate department sealed the office and other parts of the club situated beside SG highway for not following the parking and other rules of the AMC.

An official of the AMC said that the Gujarat High Court has taken a strict stance against illegal parking on the road side.

‘Today a large number of vehicles park outside the club were found and the action has been taken,’ he said.

Meanwhile an office bearer of the club said that the club has permission of parking of 600 vehicles and today’s rush was that of those taking part in a marriage related ceremony.

Meanwhile some of the vehicles parked illegally have also been seized.

An AMC official said that the club has also reportedly made and extended its sports wing and library without proper permission.
