Actress Rita Bhaduri passes away

Mumbai: Rita Bhaduri, 62-year old Bengali actress who worked in number of Gujarati and Hindi movies and TV shows passed away today in Mumbai. She was suffering from kidney disease. She passed away today morning after suffering cardiac arrest at Sujoy Hospital in suburban Juhu at 1.45 am. She was hospitalized from last two weeks. Her final rites took place in Andheri East at noon today.

Veteran actress had acted in number of Hindi movies including “Hero No 1”, “Beta”, ” Ghar Ho Toh Aisa”, “Anth”, “Virasat”, “Raja”, “Kya Kehna” and TV serials including “Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai”, “Amanat” and “Kumkum”. She was last seen in television show “Nimki Mukhiya”.

Her Gujarati films include Lakho Phoolani, Parki Jani, Maa Na Aansu, Dikri Ane Gai Dore Tya Jay, Gher Gher Matina Chula, Maa Mane Sambhare Chhe, Vagi Prem Katari, Sansar Chakra, Akhand Chudlo, Maya Bazar, Lekh Na Mathe Mekh, Pithi Pili Rang Rato, Preet Ghela Manvi, Chandan Chawali, Parki Jani, Samay Ni Balihari, Mavtar, Kashino Dikro, Sher Ne Mathe Sava Sher, Parka Potana. She worked with actors like Paresh Rawal, Naresh Kanodiya, Farooq Sheikh, Asrani in Gujarati films.

Actor Shishir Sharma who worked with Rita Bhaduri in ‘Kumkum’ took to Facebook to inform about her demise.

“We deeply regret to inform you that Rita Bhaduri has departed for her journey beyond. The funeral rites will be held on July 17, Tuesday 12 noon at the Cremation Ground, Parsi Wada Road, Parshiwada, Chakala, Andheri East. Extremely sad.. lost a wonderful human being. A mother to many of us.. Will miss you Ma,” he wrote.
