GU for shorter question paper and exam time

In an important academic decision, the Gujarat University today accepted the proposal to reduce the size and timing of question papers for its examination.
The proposal to reduce the duration of one paper to two and a half hours instead of 3 hours was accepted during the academic council and syndicate meet of the university held here today.
It has also been decided to reduce the number of questions in the papers to be answered to 4 instead of existing 5. The total marks however for each paper has been kept as it was at 70, an official of the GU said.
The change in exam duration and question papers would be applicable from the current session itself.
Notably, Established in 1948, the Gujarat university is one of the most prestigious ones in the state.
