M Phil student alleges woman professor of making her do household chores, cleaning, GU forms probe committee

The Gujarat University has set up a committee to probe the allegation by an M Phil girl student that a lady associate professor was forcing her to do her household chores and even compelling to wash the dishes for completion of her research under her.
The student has also alleged that Assistant professor of history in the School of Social Sciences of the university, Dr. Mrs Vijaya B Yadav had also demanded Rs 50 thousand from her for the same.
She said that the professor who was her guide for the research work undertaken by her made her was the left-over dishes in her house and do other household chores including cleaning the house.
The university has during its syndicate and academic council meeting today decided to set up a probe committee for the same.
Meanwhile, a committee set up by the university to look into the allegation of sexual harassment of some girl students against Dr Pradip Prajapati, in-charge dean of commerce and arts department at Gujarat University, has given clean chit to him. It has said that the allegations were false and made under a conspiracy with involvement of 2 professors.
