Amul Dairy to reduce Milk Procurement Prices from tomorrow

The Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers’ Union Limited, Anand popularly known as Amul Dairy has announced to reduce the milk procurement prices from tomorrow i e August 1.
Dairy Chairman Ramsinh Parmar, who also is the chairman of GCMMF, the federation of all the 18 dairies of Gujarat, today made this announcement.
From August 1, the Amul Dairy would procure buffalo milk at a reduced rate of Rs 660 per kg fat instead of current Rs 680. The cow milk procurement price has also been reduced to Rs 308 per kg fat from the existing Rs 317.
Parmar said that the reduction in procurement prices was being done due to heavy increase in the inflow of milk on daily basis.
‘We have seen a rise of around 18% in the inflow of milk and so we have taken the decision. The Amul Dairy was the best price payer among all the dairies of Gujarat,’ he said.
Interestingly the Dairy with the decrease in milk procurement prices, has increased the prices of cattle feeds. Prices of various categories of cattle feed have been raised by Rs 30 to 50.
