Here are the announcements made by Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani in Independence Day speech

Surendranagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani while speaking in Independence Day function in Surendranagar district today made several new announcements:

– Vanod in Patdi taluka of Surendranagar district will get a new Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation(GIDC) estate over 350 hectare land. It will be located just 15-20 km away from Hansalpur – Bechraji based auto ancillary industry hub. According to Rupani the new GIDC estate will benefit entire Gujarat.

– Fourth phase of Gujarat government’s ‘Seva Setu’ drive will begin on August 24. Government officers will visit clusters of five-villages to solve the pending issues of people.According to Rupani, the earlier three phases witnessed solution of one crore pending complains.

– Surendranagar district will get a new government college for agriculture. Rupani said, the students here will be able to do graduation in agriculture discipline with a new college in the district.

– The government will double the assistance for redevelopment of Santhni land. The government at present offers Rs 15,000 assistance per hectare for redevelopment of Santhi land. The amount now on will be Rs 30,000 per hectare.

– 85 prisoners who are in jails are to be released.

– The government has decided to allocate Rs 3 crore each for development of Vir Megh Maya and Bechar Swami sthanak in Patan and Sidhpur.
