Nitin Patel to leave for 8-day Japan visit on September 1

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel would leave for 8-day Japan visit tomorrow to participate in the 150th foundation anniversary celebrations of Hyogo prefecture (province), of the country with which Gujarat has a special friendship pact since the days of the then CM Narendra Modi.
Patel said that the Gujarat government along with guests from across the world has been tendered invitation for the event.
‘I am going to represent Gujarat there. Hyogo has a special bonding with Gujarat and its governor ( the post is equivalent to Chief Minister of Indian states) had visited our state in the past,’ the Deputy CM added.
Patel said that he would also hold a meeting with the Japan International Cooperation Authority (JICA) during his visit.
‘Apart from it I would also meet with the representatives of large number of Gujarati community living in Osaka and Tokyo in Japan,’ Patel who also holds the Finance portfolio of the state said.
Hyogo is a Japanese prefecture in the Kansai region of the country’s main island, Honshu. Kobe, the prefectural capital, is a cosmopolitan port city framed by mountains.
