Narmada water supply to Kutch to remain affected for 5 days due to repair work at pumping station

The water supply through Narmada main line to Kutch district of Gujarat will remain affected for five days beginning today due to repair work of an important pumping station.
An official of the water supply department today said that due to repair work at Dhanki water pumping station of the Narmada project, the water supply will remain affected from September 11 (the pumping station is already shut for repair work at midnight previous night) to September 15.
He said that in two talukas Bhachau and Rapar would face the maximum heat due to it.
He said that there was some storage of water in Tappar dam which would be utilized during this period.
