Commissioning of Rs 55 crore TMR plant of Sumul on Monday in Surat

Surat: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will inaugurate Sumul Dairy’s Total Mixed Ration (TMR) Plant and Take Home Ration being built at a cost of Rs.55-crore on Monday, September 17, 2018.

The fully automatic TMR Plant has a capacity to mix 200 Metric Tonnes of wheat, gram flour, soybean flour, edible oil, sugar, maize and rice with nutritious ingredients per day. The mix to be part of Take Home Ration as ‘Matrishakti, ‘Purnashakti’ and ‘Balshakti’ can be used to prepare 30 delicacies like sheero (halwa), sukdi, raab and ladu.

The plant will cover about 6.99-lakh pregnant and lactating women and young girls and 6.30-lakh children in through 17,955 anganwadis in 11 districts in south and central Gujarat – Surat, Tapi, Bharuch, Narmada, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhotudepur and Panchmahalas.

Gujarat Government’s brand ambassador for its Nutrition Mission the Asian Games 4×400 metres relay gold medallist Sarita Gayakwad will be specially attend the event to mark various programme under the Nutrition Week.
