Gujarat BJP holds first State executive meet post assembly election

Gandhinagar: The first executive meet of ruling BJP in Gujarat post last assembly election in November 2017 is being held at party state headquarter Srikamalam at Koba near here.

Party state in-charge Bhupendra Yadav, state president Jeetu Vaghani, CM Vijay Rupani and other senior BJP leaders were participating in the meeting which was re-scheduled on several occasions in the past.

State BJP vice president I K Jadeja told newsmen that various issues including the ones pertaining to farmers schemes and welfare would be discussed prominently in the meeting.

Jadeja said that the party leaders would discuss the various steps taken by the government for farmers and rural development and its good impact as also the follies of past congress governments in the state.

A leader of the party said that buoyed with the apparent success of its strategy to counter hooliganism of Congress backed PAAS leader Hardik Patel though various pro-farmer and rural economy based steps and announcements, the party would discuss to further the strategy to regain and strengthen its base in rural and semi urban areas.

The various issues pertaining to next LS poll preparations would also come up during the meet, he said.

Update: Jadeja said party’s state incharge Bhupendra Yadav will visit each Lok Sabha seat of Gujarat and hold meeting with election committees during next two months.
