Gandhinagar: The ruling BJP in Gujarat today lashed out at Congress party for spreading lies about the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project.
Gujarat BJP president Jeetu Vaghani told newsmen that the lies about the stopping of funding by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the bullet train project were being spread by Congress to create confusion. ‘Why was Congress trying to unnecessarily doing so and targeting the home state of PM Narendrabhai Modi with its baseless lies,’ he said.
He showed the statement of the National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) which denied reports that the funding has been stopped by JICA due to issues pertaining to land acquisition for the bullet train project.
Vaghani said that Congress which has been rejected by the people due to its such tactics would be completely wiped out in 2019 elections.
‘It is the same congress which used to say that Riverfront project was not possible, which opposed construction of Mahatma mandir, claimed that BJP government won’t be able to complete the Narmada project and Ghogha-Dahej Ro Ro Ferry service. But all of these have been completed. The bullet train project would also further speed up the journey of development,’ he said.
