PM Modi to be on another whirlwind tour of home-state Gujarat tomorrow, to inaugurate Gandhi Museum, Amul plant, LNG facility

Ahmedabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on another whirlwind visit of his home-state Gujarat tomorrow to participate in various events in Anand, Kutch and Rajkot including inauguration of a newly constructed chocolate plant of Amul and a museum of Mahatma Gandhi which earlier on was his Alma mater.

He is also scheduled to address 3 public meetings in Anand, Anjar and Rajkot.

Earlier, PM Modi had visited Gujarat on August 23 last month to participate in various events in Valsad, Junagadh and capital Gandhinagar.

A senior official in protocol department said that Modi would arrive tomorrow morning. He would go to Anand first to Inaugurate the chocolate plant of Amul set up with an investment of about Rs190 crore, at Mogar near there. The plant has a production capacity of 1,000 tonnes per month. He would also perform an online foundation stone-laying for Amul’s first dairy plant in West Bengal at Kolkata from there. The other projects include a take-home-ration plant of 600 tonnes per day and a ready-to-use therapeutic food plant with monthly capacity of 600 tonnes. PM Modi would also address a farmers’ gathering at Anand. He is also scheduled to inaugurate the incubation center cum center of excellence in food processing for promoting entrepreneurs and start up.

 

Later, the PM would go to Anjar in Kutch district to inaugurate natural gas transmission line between Mundra Port and Anjar set up by state-run Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (GSPL). The 67-km pipeline is set up with an investment of Rs 375 crore. Modi will address second public rally in Satapar village of Anjar. He would also dedicate and inaugurate some other developmental works including GSPC subsidiary GSPL (Gujarat State Petronet Ltd)’s 5 MMTPA LNG terminal, Anjar – Mundra gas pipeline project and Palanpur – Pali – Barmer interstate gas pipeline project. He would fly to Anjar in chopper from Bhuj where he would arrive in the special IAF aircraft.

 

After that PM Modi would reach Rajkot to inaugurate a Mahatma Gandhi museum at Alfred High School, where Bapu had studied for seven years. It has been turned in to museum at a cost of Rs 26 crores by the RMC. He would earlier address a public rally at Chaudhry high school. He would also inaugurate the second phase of Rajkot eye project under which 298 cctv cameras have been installed at 80 places . He would also inaugurate and dedicate other development works including handing over of houses to slum dwellers.

He would fly back to Delhi from Rajkot in the evening.

New Delhi: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, will visit Gujarat on September 30, 2018.

At Anand, the Prime Minister will inaugurate modern food processing facilities, including Amul’s ultra-modern Chocolate Plant. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate Anand Agricultural University’s Incubation Centre cum Centre of Excellence in Food Processing, and a Solar Cooperative Society at Mujhkuva village. The Prime Minister will lay the Foundation Stone for the expansion of Amul manufacturing facilities at Anand and Khatraj. He will address the gathering.

The Prime Minister will then travel to Anjar. He will inaugurate the Mundra LNG terminal, the Anjar-Mundra Pipeline Project and the Palanpur-Pali-Barmer pipeline project. He will address the gathering.

The Prime Minister shall then arrive in Rajkot. He will inaugurate the Mahatma Gandhi Museum. The Museum has been set up at the Alfred High School in Rajkot, which was an important part of the formative years of Mahatma Gandhi. It will help spread awareness about Gandhian culture, values and philosophy. The Prime Minister will also unveil a plaque to mark the inauguration of a public housing project of 624 houses. He will witness the e-Gruh Pravesh of 240 beneficiary families.

The Prime Minister will visit the Mahatma Gandhi Museum, before returning to New Delhi.
