Dy CM Nitin Patel terms Gohil’s ultimatum to CM a cheap publicity stunt
October 17, 2018
Gandhinagar: Deputy CM Nitin Patel today said that the so-called ‘ultimatum’ of Senior Congress leader, party spokesperson and ex-MLA Shaktisinh Gohil to file defamation suit against CM Vijay Rupani was nothing but a cheap publicity stunt.
Talking to newsmen here Patel said that despite the fact that CM Rupani has not uttered anything about Gohil in his statement about violence against non-Gujaratis, he was at his own giving distorted statement.
‘In fact a competition of sorts between leaders of Congress was going on to create meaningless issues as they don’t have any genuine issue to somehow grab media attention. It is a part of that,’ he said.
Notably Gohil during a press conference yesterday had said that he sought apology from CM for alleging him and if he did not do so in 2 weeks a criminal complaint and civil defamation suit would be filed against him.
