Fake notes of 200, 500 and 2000 of face value of over 17 lakhs recovered in central Gujarat, 2 nabbed

Bharuch: The Special Operation Group of police in Bharuch district of Gujarat has arrested two persons from Fokadi village under Netrang taluka and recovered fake notes of Rs 200, 500 and 2000 denomination of a total face value of Rs 1736700.
Apart from the printer and other equipment used to make the notes police has also seized 4 country-made pistol, 8 live cartridges and one lakh genuine cash from the hut like structure in which the duo, a native of Botad and uncle-nephew by relations used to live.
PI of SOG P N Patel said that during the rain last night based on a tip off in the hut 746 fake notes of Rs 200, 75 of Rs 500 and 775 of Rs 2000 were found.
‘This notes are of poor quality and the duo used to give these to illiterate, aged and tribal people in the area,’ he said.
Notably Gujarat ATS had nabbed one person from Junagadh and recovered fake notes of high quality of Rs 500 and 2000 of total face value 1.52 lakh yesterday.
