Talati strike in Gujarat hit related work in gram panchayats, teachers assigned job temporarily

Gandhinagar: The village level revenue employees or talatis of Gujarat have started their indefinite strike today with their demands including hike in salary.
Due to the strike, related work in around 18000 gram panchayats across Gujarat has taken a hit.
Teachers have temporarily been assigned the work of talatis to give some relief to the rural folk however this arrangement has not completely substituted the day to day work of talatis.
The talatis have also boycotted the duty related to Ekta Yatra.
