Fire in goods train at Dahanu Road station; Karnavati, Shatabdi, Duronto, Flying Rani among trains affected on Ahmedabad – Mumbai route

Due to fire incident in goods train near Dahanu Road station, some trains on Ahmedabad- Mumbai Central were short terminated at Vapi and reversed from Vapi, while some other trains were diverted. Down line was opened at 1.35 am. Up line started at Dahanu road at 8.50 am. Rajdhani Express was first train to pass on it.
Pune – Ahmedabad Duronto was diverted via Kalyan, Jalganon and Surat. Similarly Hisar Coimbatoor, Nizamuddin Pune and Indore Pune trains were also diverted via Bhestan and Jalgaon. Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central passenger train was short terminated at Vapi and reversed from there. Gujarat Superfast Express between Ahmedabad and Mumbai Central was short terminated at Surat and was reversed from Surat to Ahmedabad. Flying Rani express on Surat – Mumbai Central – Surat route was cancelled. Surat – Virar passenger was short terminated at Valsad. Porbandar – Mumbai Central train was short terminated at Surat and reversed from Surat to Porbandar. Bandra – Kanpur Central was rescheduled from 5.10 am to 8.05 am. Mumbai Central – Ahmedabad Shatabdi Express was rescheduled for departure at 8.25 am instead of 6.25 am. Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central double decker train was short terminated at Valsad and reversed from Valsad to Ahmedabad. Ahmedabad – Mumbai Central Karnavati Express was short terminated at Vapi and reversed from there to Ahmedabad. Surat – Bandra intercity express was cancelled.
