Congress involved in rumor-mongering, will win Jasdan by-poll with a margin not less than 50,000: Kunvarji Bavaliya

Jasdan:Gujarat Minister Kunvarji Bavaliya, who in all likelihood will be candidate of ruling BJP in Jasdan assembly by-poll today claimed that he would win the election with a huge margin of not less than 50 thousand votes.

He also said that Congress was involved in rumour mongering that certain BJP leaders were working against him.

Talking to newsmen on the sidelines of his new-year get-together (Sneh Milan), Bavaliya due to whose resignation from Jasdan seat and Congress party on July 3 this year the by-poll announced today and slated for December 20 was necessitated, said that Congress would be wiped out from Jasdan which earlier was deemed a bastion of the party.

‘In Jasdan Congress meant Bavliya and Balvliya mean Congress but as I have left the party it would wiped out now. A large number of Congress workers and leaders have joined BJP now and today several others are also going to join,’ he said.

To a query he said that the state government has declared both the talukas in his constituency as drought hit and several steps were being taken for relief. He also claimed that he enjoyed the support of all the communities including Patidars.

On being asked that Congress president Amit Chavda and former CM Shankarsinh Vaghela and other are claiming that BJP leaders in Jasdan would ensure his defeat, Bavliya rejected it at rumors of Congress which itself would be wiped out.

Notably, Bavaliya had resigned from the seat and Congress on July 3 and joined BJP and was inducted in the Vijay Rupani cabinet the same day.
