Ill- looking lion rescued from railway track close to Gir forests

Junagadh: An ill looking lion which had went on the nearby railway track in Sarasiya range of Gir-East forest in Amreli district of Gujarat was somehow rescued by forest team, a forest official today said.
ACF A C Thakkar said that the lion with injury in the hind legs was found on the railway track yesterday. It was made unconscious with a medicine shot and later taken to nearby animal care center.
The driver of a local train had notice the lame looking lion and stopped the train and informed the railway officials who in turn had informed the forest officials.
