Abandoned Pakistani boat found in Sir Creek
November 27, 2018
Bhuj:The Border Security Force (BSF) has found an abandoned Pakistani fishing boat in Sir Creek area adjoining Kutch district in Gujarat.
Spokesperson of BSF, Deputy Commandant Ajay Shah today said that the 20×5 ft dimension wooden boat was found in Sir Creek area.
‘There were certain edible items and also a fishing net in it,’ he said.
He said that the occupants of the boat were seemingly Pakistani fishermen and had most likely fled to their territory situated quite close-by.
However, as a precautionary measure a search in and around the marshy area was on.
Notably, in the creek area rich in prawn and other sea-food items, Pakistani fishermen often intrude with an intention to do illegal fishing. In the past too such boats have been caught in both abandoned condition and with fishermen from Pakistan on board from the area.
