Junagadh: Web based CCTV monitoring has been started in Gir forest on four checking points, said Cheif Conservator of Forest, Wildlife Junagadh adding that soon all nakas (checking points for entry and exit) will be covered with CCTV monitoring system. With web based CCTV monitoring system in place, officers can now monitor nakas(checking points) with their computer and mobile phone. Forest department earlier this month also started drone vigil initiative in order to protect the Asiatic lions more effectively.
