Rajkot:A fire broke out in the Gondal Agriculture Produce Marketing Yard in Rajkot district in Gujarat today.

Police said that the fire broke out in the area of the yard where sacks of chilies were kept. The reason behind the fire was not yet known.

Attempts to douse the fire were on. Due to smoke raising out of the burnt chilies, people around the area were felling uncomfortable.

A large number of people including labourers, farmers, brokers and employees of the APMC were present on the spot when the incident happened.

However no loss of life or injury due to the fire has been reported.
