LRD paper leak case: More main conspirators nabbed from MP, Delhi

Gandhinagar: Two more of the main conspirators of the sensational LRD paper leak case of Gujarat have been nabbed by the police today from Delhi and Madhya Pradesh.

SP Gandhinagar Mayur Chavda today said that Vinit Mathur from Delhi who had arranged for the paper distribution there to the examines who had gone there with the Gujarat based gang by road has been arrested.

‘Apart from him the Gujarat ATS and the crime branch of Ahmedabad police has also nabbed another main conspirator Ashok Sahu, a resident of Ratlam from Indore. He was also involved in a FCI related exam paper leak in MP in March/April this year and was on bail in that matter. He is being brought to Gujarat for further interrogation,’ the SP said.

He also said that police was looking for another kingpin conspirator Manish Singh, a resident of Jhajhar in Haryana and three others from Gujarat who have been identified as Nilesh Chauhan from Vadodara, Suresh Pandya from Ahmedabad and Ashwin Parmar from Daskroi in Ahmedabad.

Chavda said that all of them would be nabbed soon and the police would be able to find out as to from where exactly the paper was leaked.

He said that Manish who was also an accused in MP FCI paper leak case and Ashok had held a meeting in Hotel Vice President in Ashram road of Ahmedabad on November 28 in which Indravadan (already arrested) and Nilesh, Suresh and Ashiwin were also present. They planned as to how the exam aspirants would be given the paper. Four of them had taken the students to Delhi by road in four vehicles.

Notably the LRD recruitment exam slated for December 2 was cancelled the same day after the information about the the paper leak. The new date of the exam has been fixed for January 6.

Around 8.75 lakh aspirants were to appear in the exam.

Chavda said that from Ashok’s place police has recovered papers of various exams which indicates that the gang was involved in various exam paper leak activities.

Notably police has so far arrested more than a dozen accused in this case including a police official and a woman.
