Mercury takes further dip, Gujarat see first single digit minimum temperature of the season as Naliya shivers at 5.8°C

Ahmedabad: The mercury across Gujarat has taken further dip with Northerly to North Easterly winds bringing cold from Northern parts of the country.

Today first single digit minimum temperature of the season in the state has been recorded at 5.8 °C in Naliya in Kutch district of Gujarat. It has seen more than 7 °C fall in temperature in a single day..

Deesa at 10.1 °C was second coldest, as per official figures issued by the IMD center here.

Rajkot and Kandla Airport at 11 °C each were third in this regard. Ahmedabad has also seen a drop of 1 notch in lowest temperature in last 24 hours and today it was among 5 coldest places at 11.4 °C.

Valsad has recorded 11.1 °C .

Minimum temperatures at various other places across Gujarat and UT of Diu today were as following – Vadodara- 13.2 °C , Bhavnagar- 14.2 °C , Bhuj- 12.4 °C, Surendranagar- 11.8 °C , Diu- 11.8 °C , V V Nagar- 12.4 °C , Gandhinagar- 13.0 °C , Amreli- 13.8 °C , Surat- 16.6 °C .
